Wave in action was created simply as a practical exercise capturing the energy of the ocean in pastel. These types of drawings are done as fast as I can do them so I don't "stiffen up". I want to get the idea down as fast as possible to try to bring out the "painterly" look rather than trying to make a replica photograph. |
