This diptych oil painting of seashells on a seashore is mounted on framed vinyl covered board. The idea came from a 9 panel painting I had done earlier. It had attracted interest from buyers so I decided on attempting a variation. This work is the result of the experimenting. |

After the recent successful reception and positive comments on my artwork Seashell I was encouraged to do a variation on that theme. |

After some preliminary sketches I came up with a diptych which I was happy with. This painting, like some others, came together very quickly. The colours are very like the seashore on the Mornington Peninsula where I have taken many of my "resource" photos. |

It is hoped that the eventual owner will think of this lovely area when they display the work in their home. I am not trying to make a photographic record of the area, merely to bring to mind the feeling and emotion of being there. |
