Oil Painting of what many people see in their gardens in the spring. The lovely perfume coming form the wysteria complemented by the busy buzzing of the bees hopping from one bunch of flowers to another. |

This painting is a bit of an indulgence for me, I had the idea when looking at the garden from our door, admiring the tireless little bee working its way around the plant. |
|
I quickly got a few sketches done and decided it was worth having a go. Its a very "feminine" piece, in colour and design, so the presentation of a gilded frame and a nearly French Provincial style came quite naturally. |
|
It has already had some good comments, one artist colleague mentioning that she particularly liked the little bee in the corner, which is also my favourite bit. |
