During August (2008) I spent a wonderful week relaxing in the holiday resort at Wattle Point, Victoria, Australia. It was an opportunity to do some valuable research for future artistic efforts. The scenery is so beautiful in this part of the state and there is no shortage of subjects to sketch or photograph so each day I chose some different subjects to record. |

From the accommodation I had a perfect view of the lake and wildlife literally came to the door. The roos and birds as well as the changing view of the water throughout the day will make some fun subjects to attempt and it is always good to have a stash of ideas to draw from when you need them. |

This pastel is the first of several works that I have planned in various mediums that I hope will show some of these scenes. |
