Pastel portrait for a local of the southern Mornington Peninsula area. The dog's name is Skye, she is a little shy but brimming with personality which I hope I have captured in this portrait. |

Skye is a lovely little dog. I have met her and she looked so personable and friendly from the first minute I saw her. |
|
Her owner actually didn't ask for a portrait of her, but I just had to take a few shots of her lovely little face. It was inevitable that after that a portrait was going to be done. |
|
I sometimes do these just for practice and for the love of doing the work. I usually show the finished works to the owners just so they know that a pic of their special pet is going up on to the internet. |

Often the finished work leaves my hands at this point, because the owner loves the picture so much, they just have to have it! |
|
That is something as an artist you can sometimes only dream about. Moving a person who looks at my work to love it more that I do, is just wonderful. |
|
It is my hope that this work will grace the walls of Skye's owner for many years bringing joy with the memories it will stir. It has been my honour to to do this for him. |
