Janice Mills - Australian Fine Artist

Janice Mills is a fine artist and a resident of the Mornington Peninsula (Victoria, Australia). Janice paints landscapes, seascapes as well as creating some interesting and bold presentations combining fine art and graphic elements that are her own unique style. Working mainly in oils, acrylics and pastels, Janice can modify existing photos using the latest computer image enhancement technology or can shoot some new ones for a commission. Janice is well experienced in animal portraiture, often by commission, these include beloved canine pets as well as cats and of course horses.

ArtGallop - Gallery Shop "Anything Goes" Exhibition in Narre Warren Victoria will be featuring the works of Janice Mills as Featured Artist for the months of September and October 2010.

The Opening Night will be held on Friday 3rd September from 5pm to 7pm, where you will have the opportunity to meet exhibiting artists, including Janice. Light refreshments will be served and there is no entry fee.

Janice will have over twenty of her works on display and for sale, covering a variety mediums and subjects. There should be something for everyone and the pricing will cover smaller pieces as well as a few major works for the serious art collector. Most of these works are from the past twelve months. Nearly all are framed, all are hanging on display.

Janice will be the in-house artist at ArtGallop for Sunday September 12th from 12 noon to 5pm during the exhibition and sends an invitation to pop in and meet her. She will have EFTPOS available so purchasing should not be a problem should you see something that takes your fancy. She will also be free to discuss any commission you may want her to take on. Bring in your photos and have a chat over a tea or coffee.

Rosebud Beach

This oil painting is of the sea shore in Rosebud (Victoria, Australia), looking towards the north. The little beach huts are well known in the area as it has been a tourist destination for many years. The boat was not in any of the original photos, it was added to give the painting a focal point. The artwork is painted on board and framed in a dark mahogany wood coloured frame which is addition to the size of the work.

Rosebud Beach is scheduled for display at McClelland Guild of Artists in November 2010 unless it is sold beforehand. Enquiries can be made via the contact page.

Two limited edition (2009) prints have been sold to private collectors.

Lay By - Now Available

For those who like a particular painting and are local to the Mornington Peninsula (Victoria, Australia), a three month lay-by can be arranged for any of the artworks. The artwork will be put aside and stored safely until final payment is made and the work collected by the purchaser. It is intended to help making the purchase of fine art more accessible for those who may not normally be thinking they are in a position to purchase it.
